Our first stop after Istanbul was in the town of Kusadasi.
This was known best for its...shopping...and for Ephesus. It is said
that Ephesus is one of the best-preserved ancient cities of the world.
Some believe that the city of Apasa, which is mentioned in Hittite texts as far
back as 2000 B.C., is Ephesus itself. The city of Ephesus
was founded by the Carians and the Lelegs who were the original natives of
Anatolia and who believed in the Mother-Goddess Cybele. Ancient historians
believed that Ephesus was founded by the Amazons. (Yes - I copied that.)
The tour we took to Ephesus was the only tour we took all week - but we enjoyed
it. We were on Bus # 3...and we only know this because our tour guide kept
yelling it to us and you could here her all over the ancient ruins (Which was
sometimes necessary since there were 2 stragglers...you know who you are...)

In Bodrum the sports deck of the ship was
opened and our resident diver got a chance to add one more dive to his
records, as our new bride got her first chance to be nervous as a
MRS. All went well...we found ourselves in the position to ...
you guessed it...do some more shopping. Since this was our last
chance to be a Turkish Millionaire, we headed
into town where Carl and Jeff managed to each buy a drum, as Wendy found
herself a Prada purse...oh yeah - it's real !!!
